Mrs. Alyssia Hunter

Art Teacher

Mrs. Hunter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Chowan University and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Paul D. Camp Community College. With a deep commitment to classical Christian education, she integrates faith, creativity, and rigorous learning in the art classroom. Mrs. Hunter’s most recent experience includes three years as the full-time art teacher for Dominion Christian School.

Mrs. Hunter thoughtfully designs lessons that cultivate not only artistic skill but also an appreciation for the order, beauty, and truth reflected in God’s creation, key principles of the classical tradition. Through studying masters like Henri Matisse alongside Scripture, she helps students develop discernment, critical thinking, and wonder for the arts as a form of worship and expression.

Passionate about fostering the whole child, mind, heart, and soul, Mrs. Hunter is eager to bring her expertise and passion to Tyndale, combining artistic creativity with classical and biblical principles to nurture faith-filled, thoughtful young learners.
