Miss. Karyn Burke
Fourth Grade Teacher
Miss Burke brings a deep love for teaching and a global perspective to the classroom. With over a decade of experience in Christian, classical, and international education, she is passionate about nurturing young learners through a rich and joyful academic experience rooted in faith.
Miss Burke holds a B.S. in Elementary Education with Integrated Studies in English from Liberty University (Summa Cum Laude) and a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language, also from Liberty, graduating with distinction. She is certified in TESL and has taught in diverse settings, including Seoul, South Korea, and multiple Christian schools in Virginia and New Jersey.
Her teaching experience spans first and second grade, where she has led students through strong phonics programs, reading and writing workshops, Singapore Math, and integrated unit studies. She is known for her engaging lessons, thoughtful parent communication, and deep commitment to student growth, both academically and spiritually.
Outside the classroom, Karyn has volunteered teaching English to North Korean refugees and Khmer students in Cambodia, and has served in various ministry and mentoring roles.
