Kimberly Johns

Head of School

Mrs. Johns is a distinguished educational leader with over 25 years of experience in Christian education and school administration. Having grown up as a "foreign service kid" with Arlington as her home base, she has spent the majority of her life in Arlington. Her journey in education has deeply committed her to the principles of classical education and the Charlotte Mason educational philosophy. This commitment is further highlighted by her extensive experience teaching mathematics and Latin.

As a committed Christian school administrator, she excels in creating an environment that sparks a passion for learning and empowers students to actively live out their faith. She has a proven track record in coordinating the high school placement of 8th-grade students, preparing them to use their talents in their future vocations and societal roles. At Tyndale, she uses her experience to mentor teachers, ensuring they effectively combine classical education methods with the Charlotte Mason philosophy to provide an enriching and engaging learning experience.

Mrs. Johns enjoys a full life outside work, surrounded by her husband, three adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren. She loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking in the Virginia mountains with her family. Her blend of professional skills, dedication to education, and a strong family life, along with her experiences growing up around the world and living in Arlington, make her a key member of the Tyndale School community.

She has a BA in Economics from The College of William and Mary and a Master’s in Classical Education from Templeton Honors College, Eastern University.
