We welcome Mrs. Margaret Finnegan to Tyndale as our third grade teacher. Mrs. Finnegan holds a B.A. in Sociology and Education from Bucknell University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and earned her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University. Now entering her twelfth year in elementary education, she began her career as a Teach for America Corps member in Boston, MA, before going on to teach Second Form at Rivendell. Over the years, she has taught every grade from 2nd through 6th in a range of school settings.

Her favorite aspects of teaching include designing engaging curriculum, leading reading and writing workshops tailored to student needs, and building a lively, well-managed classroom culture. She is especially passionate about integrating character development and habit formation into the school day and mentoring new teachers as they grow in their craft.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Finnegan enjoys beach adventures with her husband Silas and their one-year-old son, sneaking in a game of pickleball when she can, and curating her ever-growing collection of picture books, many of which she shares enthusiastically with her students.
