Pete Kingston is joining Tyndale Christian School full-time Tydnale’s middle school Math & Science Faculty and helping with strategic high school initiatives
Pete graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics and began his career managing the university’s endowment at PRINCO. He later served as an economist on the White House Council of Economic Advisers before joining the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a human intelligence and counterintelligence officer, including two deployments to Iraq.
After his military service, Pete earned an MBA and an MA in Education from Stanford University. He then spent over a decade at PRIMECAP Management Company, an investment management firm based in Pasadena, California that invests more than $100B of long-only public equity assets across several mutual funds. As a financial analyst and portfolio manager, Pete researched companies and recommended investments in the materials and consumer sectors.
Pete founded Starfish Africa in 2005 to provide secondary education for high-potential students in East Africa. He also served as Board Chair and now sits on the Board of Trustees of Claris Health, a nonprofit organization that provides services to women facing unplanned pregnancies in Los Angeles. He and his wife, Carrie, are blessed with five children, including three who flourished as members of Tyndale's pioneering first crop of students, and two more who will attend Tyndale this year.
